People find your website, then ring the office to book anyway.

Most business websites are brochures. The useful ones do a job: take the booking, take the order, answer the question that would otherwise have been a phone call. We build sites that are quick on a phone, easy to change yourself, and clear about what you actually do.

IN PRACTICE

What this looks like in a real business.

A trades business built on word of mouth

The referrals keep coming, but half of them search the name first and find nothing that looks like a real company. The work here is a small, fast site with photos of actual jobs, the suburbs served written out for local search, and a quote request that arrives as a message on the phone in the ute.

A clinic taking bookings by phone only

Reception spends the first hour of every day on the phone, and the after-hours calls go to voicemail and never call back. The work here is online booking that writes straight into the practice system, reminder messages that cut no-shows, and a cancellation that frees the slot without anyone touching it.

A wholesaler selling to trade and to the public

Trade customers get their own pricing, the public pays retail, and right now that means a phone call and a manual invoice. The work here is a store where account customers log in to their own prices, terms and order history, while everyone else sees the retail price and pays at the checkout.

WHAT YOU GET

Every project includes this.

  • A site that loads quickly on a phone on a poor connection, not just on the office Wi-Fi.
  • Pages you can edit yourself, without booking us in to change a phone number.
  • The set-up search engines need: page titles, structured data, a sitemap, and pages that load fast enough to rank.
  • Booking, enquiry or checkout wired into whatever you already use to run the business.
  • Analytics set up so you can see what people actually do, not guess.
  • Every account — domain, hosting, store, payments — registered in your business name.

HOW WE WORK

No surprises, at any point.

  1. 1

    Conversation

Free, and there is no pitch in it. You tell us what is painful. We tell you if we are the wrong people for it.

  2. 2

    Written scope

Fixed price, fixed deliverable, in writing before anyone commits to anything.

  3. 3

    Build in stages

You see working software every couple of weeks, not at the end. You can stop after any stage and keep what is built.

  4. 4

    Handover

Code, accounts and documentation are yours. Nothing is held hostage.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

The questions everyone asks.

Do we need a whole new site or just a tidy-up?

Sometimes a tidy-up is the right answer, and we will say so. If the existing site is built on something we can work with and the problem is the words, the speed or the enquiry form, fixing those costs a fraction of a rebuild. A rebuild makes sense when the thing underneath is slow, unsafe or impossible to change.

Can we update it ourselves?

Yes. Prices, hours, staff, photos and page text are yours to change, and we show you how at handover. We would rather you never need to ring us for a typo.

Who writes the words?

We write a first draft from the conversation and you correct it, because you know the people who buy from you and we do not. If you would rather write it yourself, that is fine too, and it usually shortens the build.
